Doctoral degree in ATC about bacterial breakdown of feathers

Rubén Javier López defended his doctoral dissertation for the PhD degree at the University of Bergen on February 21, 2025. His dissertation is titled “A multi-omics approach to Fervidobacterium, a group of thermophilic feather-degrading anaerobes.”
He began his PhD in 2021 under the supervision of Professor Nils-Kåre Birkeland, part of the Fermentation technology research lab of ATC.
